In Idaho, many patients can begin physical therapy through direct access without a physician referral. However, some insurance plans may require a referral or have specific coverage requirements. 

If you're unsure whether you need a referral, please contact our office and we'll be happy to verify your benefits and help determine the best way to get started.

Yes, we offer self-pay options for patients without insurance or those who prefer not to use their insurance benefits. 

Yes. Pursuit Physical Therapy accepts both Workers' Compensation and motor vehicle accident (auto accident) cases. Our team works closely with physicians, case managers, insurance companies, and attorneys when necessary to help coordinate your care and ensure the appropriate documentation is provided throughout your recovery.

Your first visit will typically last about one hour and begins with a comprehensive evaluation performed by a licensed physical therapist. During this appointment, we'll discuss your symptoms, medical history, goals, and perform a thorough assessment to identify the source of your problem and develop a personalized treatment plan.

To save time, you can download and complete your New Patient Paperwork directly from our website before your appointment. If you prefer to fill it out in person, please arrive 10–15 minutes early to allow enough time to complete the necessary forms before your evaluation begins.

Following your evaluation, your therapist will explain their findings, answer any questions, and discuss their recommendations for helping you achieve your recovery goals.

Appointment length varies depending on your needs, but most visits last between 45 and 60 minutes. 

Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being treated. Athletic clothing and footwear is often ideal.

Yes. Every patient receives individualized care and direct supervision throughout their treatment session. 

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call our office directly at (208) 906-8469. Calling the office is the best way to ensure your request is received and processed promptly.

Please note that emailing the clinic, submitting a message through our website, or contacting your therapist directly does not guarantee that your message will be received in time to cancel or change your appointment.

As a courtesy to our patients and staff, we ask that any cancellations or scheduling changes be made at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
